CO₂ Laser Resurfacing Treatment
CO₂ laser resurfacing involves using pulses of laser energy. This penetrates the skin's surface and the water within skin cells absorbs this energy. As a result, it triggers a controlled response.
The outermost layer of skin is gently removed, while the underlying dermis is heated to stimulate collagen production. This process encourages the growth of fresh, firmer, and smoother skin as the area heals. The procedure lasts between 30 minutes and 2 hours. However, it depends on the area of treatment and the specific skin concern being addressed. Before the procedure begins, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed, and protective eyewear will be provided to shield your eyes from the laser.
