Why have your tooth extracted?
- Decay
- Fracture
- Gum disease
- Extra tooth
- Preparation for braces
- Impacted wisdom tooth

What to expect
At your tooth extraction appointment, your Lotus Dental and Aesthetics Clinic dentist will administer local anaesthesia to ensure that your tooth and the surrounding areas are numb before beginning the extraction.
If necessary, we can also provide you with some mild dental sedation.
We will use an instrument called The Physics Forceps® (‘Magic forceps’, as we like to call them) to remove your tooth. This tool will allow your dentist to extract your tooth smoothly and steadily without damaging the surrounding bone tissue. The result is a more comfortable extraction experience for you.
Other than a light tugging sensation, you will not feel any discomfort while the dentist removes your tooth. Afterwards, we will send you home with detailed instructions for rest and recovery as the extraction site heals.

Replacing extracted teeth
Before the extraction begins, we will have your treatment plan drawn up and ready for implementation. Your plan will include details for the next step in your journey, be it clear braces, a dental bridge, dentures or implants.
You will have the support and guidance of Lotus Dental Clinic at your side the entire time.
Having one or more teeth extracted could make you feel like you have failed somewhere. It is our hope, however, that you will draw inspiration from the experience and become motivated to take better care of your smile from here on out.
