Why patients choose Lotus Clinic

We are not the cheapest implant clinic in London, and we do not try to be. What we offer is the standard of treatment and care we would want for our own family.

  • Three implant dentists, and over 25 years of looking after Golders Green and north London
  • Every implant planned on a 3D scan and placed with a surgical guide, so treatment is precise, gentler and quicker to heal from
  • Crowns and bridges made by one of London’s leading dental laboratories, never a cheap import
  • Photogrammetry for full arch cases, so your final teeth fit exactly
  • The same dentist from first consultation to final fitting, and a team that knows your name
  • Sedation for nervous patients, and free private parking at the door

Our implant patients come back year after year because they were looked after, not because they paid the least.

Meet our implant team

Your treatment is carried out by one of our two experienced implant dentists, Dr Ivana Matkovic and Dr Emanuele Clozza. Dr Matkovic holds a Master’s degree in implantology, and Dr Clozza is qualified in advanced implant dentistry and periodontology (gum health). Both are dentists with a special interest in dental implants and have carried out many full arch cases.

The technology we use

Fully guided surgery

In most cases your implants are planned in advance on a 3D scan of your jaw, and a custom made surgical guide is used to place each implant in exactly the planned position. This makes the procedure more accurate, often less invasive, and usually means a quicker, more comfortable recovery.

Photogrammetry

When your final teeth are made, a specialised camera system records the exact position of your implants with extremely high accuracy, without messy impressions. This helps your new bridge fit precisely, which matters for comfort and for the long term health of your implants. In this video, Dr Clozza shows how it works.

Photogrammetry with Dr Clozza

The stages of treatment

  1. Consultation

We examine your mouth, discuss your goals and answer your questions.

  2. Scans and digital planning

We take 3D scans and plan your 4 implants and your new teeth on the computer.

  3. Treatment day

Any failing teeth are removed and the 4 implants are placed using the surgical guide, under local anaesthetic. Sedation is available if you are nervous. A fixed temporary bridge is then fitted, so you are not left without teeth.

  4. Healing

Over the next few months the implants bond with your jawbone.

  5. Your final bridge

We record your implant positions with photogrammetry and fit your permanent bridge of 12 teeth.

  6. Aftercare

Regular reviews and hygiene visits keep your implants and gums healthy for the long term.

Replacing one or two teeth: single dental implants

If you have lost a single tooth, or one is failing, a dental implant is the closest thing to the tooth you were born with. A small titanium post replaces the root, and a natural looking ceramic crown sits on top. Nothing is done to the healthy teeth either side, and you brush and floss it like any other tooth.

Your implant is placed by one of our three implant dentists, Dr Ivana Matkovic, Dr Emanuele Clozza or Dr Parth Zaveri, using the same 3D planning and guided surgery described above. Your crown is then crafted by one of London’s leading dental laboratories, shaped and colour matched to your own teeth so it looks and feels like a natural tooth.

In this short video, Dr Frankl, the founder of Lotus Clinic, explains how fully guided implant placement works and why it makes treatment more accurate and more comfortable.

Dr Frankl explains fully guided implants
  1. Complimentary consultation

With Dr Matkovic, Dr Clozza or Dr Zaveri. Examination, X-rays and a written plan with a fixed price. A £30 deposit holds your appointment and is refunded when you attend.

  2. Implant placement

One visit of about an hour, under local anaesthetic. Sedation is available if you are nervous. If the tooth is at the front, we can give you a temporary tooth so you are never without one.

  3. Healing

Over 3 to 4 months the implant bonds with your jawbone.

  4. Your new tooth

Your crown is fitted to the implant and checked for bite, comfort and appearance.
