How Much Do Dental Implants Cost in London? Our 2026 Prices Explained

“How much will it cost?” is the first thing almost everyone asks us about dental implants, and it is the question most clinic websites avoid answering. We think you should know the numbers before you pick up the phone, so here are our actual fees, what they include, what can change them, and how to get an exact figure for your own mouth.

The short answer: our dental implant prices

Finance is subject to status. The 0% option runs over 12 months; longer plans through Tabeo spread the cost over up to five years with interest. Our full price list is on our fees page.

What is included in the price

When we quote “from £2,640” for a single implant, that covers the three parts you actually need to end up with a working tooth:

• The implant itself, the titanium root that sits in the jawbone.
• The abutment, the connector that attaches to the implant.
• The crown, the visible tooth, made to match your other teeth.

Some clinics advertise a low “implant from” price that covers only the first of these, with the abutment and crown added later. Always ask whether a quote is for the implant alone or for the finished tooth.

Every implant we place is planned on our own low dose CBCT scanner and placed using a 3D printed surgical guide, so the position is worked out on screen before surgery. That planning is part of how we work, not an optional extra.

What can change the price

The figures above are for uncomplicated cases. Your price can be higher if you need extra work to make the implant possible or to protect it long term. The most common reasons are:

• Bone grafting. If a tooth has been missing for some time, the jawbone may have shrunk and need rebuilding before or during implant placement.
• A sinus lift. Upper back teeth sit close to the sinus, and there is sometimes not enough bone height without one.
• Extractions. If a failing tooth still needs removing, that is priced separately.
• Sedation. Many nervous patients choose to be sedated for surgery. It is optional and costed separately.
• Gum treatment first. Implants do best in a healthy mouth, so active gum disease needs treating beforehand.

We do not know which of these apply to you until we have examined you and seen a scan. That is why we give every patient a written treatment plan and quote after the assessment, and nothing is added without you agreeing to it first.

Why implant prices vary so much between clinics

You will see single implants advertised in London for very different amounts. The differences usually come down to a few things you cannot see from the price alone:

• The implant system. Established implant brands with long research records cost the clinic more than budget systems.
• Who places it. Experience matters, particularly for complex and full arch cases. At Lotus Clinic, full arch treatment is carried out by Dr Emanuele Clozza, who has completed more than 800 All-on-4 cases, and Dr Ivana Matkovic, who is also highly experienced in full arch implant treatment.
• The planning. Guided surgery from a 3D scan takes more time and equipment than placing an implant freehand.
• What happens afterwards. Reviews, hygiene visits and help if something needs attention are part of the real cost of an implant over its lifetime.

What about having implants done abroad?

We are often asked why implants cost more here than in Turkey or Hungary, and it is a fair question. Treatment abroad can be cheaper, and many people have it done without problems. The things we would ask you to think about are the number of flights needed, how much time you will have between stages for healing, and who will look after the implants if something goes wrong once you are home. If you do go abroad, keep a copy of your records, including the implant brand and size, as any dentist treating you later will need them.

Are dental implants worth the cost?

An implant is usually the most expensive way to replace a missing tooth at the start, but it is designed to last many years with good care, it does not rely on cutting down neighbouring teeth as a bridge does, and it helps preserve the jawbone.
