Dr. Michael Frankl

The Lotus Dental and Aesthetics Clinic is led by Dr. Michael Frankl who founded the practice in 1998. Dr. Frankl qualified at The University of London in 1993, has a degree from the Royal College of Surgeons and is a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has developed particular expertise in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry, CEREC (ceramic reconstruction) and laser dentistry. Dr. Frankl has brought together an aesthetic medicine team comprising leading practitioners in each particular treatment. He has 25 years of experience in general dentistry, dental implants and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Emanuele Clozza

Dr. Emanuele Clozza was born in Italy and studied at the University of Trieste, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery qualification. He then moved to the United States to continue his post-graduate education at the prestigious New York University, where he completed a one-year International Dentists in Comprehensive Dentistry Advanced Programme and a three-year Periodontics Advanced Education Programme.

Dr. Clozza has presented at international dental conferences and has been published in more than 20 articles for peer-reviewed dental journals. He has also served as a scientific reviewer for twelve journals. His primary areas of interest are the All-on-4 or ‘Teeth in a Day’ treatment, dental implants in the esthetic zone, gum grafting and bone regeneration. Dr. Clozza has placed and restored more than 10,000 implants including over 500 cases of All-on-4. His patients have included celebrities, TV presenters, sports personalities and overseas visitors. Here at Lotus Dental Clinic, Dr. Clozza performs advanced periodontal surgery.

Dr. Priyanka Dhanak

Dr. Priyanka Dhanak graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has a keen interest in cosmetic restorative dentistry and oral surgery. She has worked as a Senior House Officer (SHO) within the Oral & Maxillofacial surgery department at Luton and Dunstable University hospital where she worked together with the surgical team to treat conditions such as jaw fractures, head and neck cancers, jaw dysfunction, surgical removal of teeth and soft tissue lesions.

The most rewarding thing about Cosmetic dentistry is the confidence it brings to her patients. This can be achieved through mini smile makeovers which can range from orthodontic tooth alignment with Invisalign and teeth whitening to minimally invasive restorative treatments such as veneers, crowns and bridges.

Aside from dentistry, Dr. Dhanak is a Harley Street trained facial aesthetics clinician and provides a full range of dermal filler and anti-wrinkle treatments. Her practice is aimed at providing treatments to create a natural, rejuvenated look and improve the quality of the skin for better and longer lasting results.

She has a warm and friendly persona and has experience in treating even the most anxious of patients.

Dr Riz Syed

Dr Riz Syed qualified in 1999 at the Royal London Hospital. After that, he worked in the oral maxillofacial surgical department, and then practiced in numerous specialist surgical practices for a number of years.

‍He has successfully completed extensive postgraduate studies in both implant and restorative dentistry and obtained a Master’s degree from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He has trained extensively in both America and Europe in advanced soft and hard tissue management, and has recently completed an advanced training course in oral plastic surgery in Dallas, Texas.

Having established two large referral surgeries, Dr. Syed has been awarded the clinic of excellence in implant dentistry. His practice includes sinus grafting, surgical crown lengthening and hard and soft tissue grafting.

Dr. Syed lectures both nationally and internationally on all aspects of implant dentistry including hard and soft tissue management. He is also a visiting surgeon to numerous surgeries across London.

As a mentor for Nobel Biocare, Dr. Syed has helped train many implant surgeons across the UK and is regularly consulted for treatment planning complex cases. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr. Syed has many years of experience in providing dental sedation for patients with dental anxiety.

Dr Fahad Taub

Dr. Fahad is a dental surgeon who qualified from UCH-CEU (Spain) in 2017. He has since embarked on an MSc program in ‘Restorative Dental Practice’ at the prestigious UCL-Eastman Dental Institute. His practice is dedicated to providing high quality dental care for patients.

Dr. Fahad’s skill set and training have enabled him to treat cases with a multi-disciplinary approach. This ranges from providing short term orthodontics through Invisalign®, to providing aesthetic smile enhancements using veneers and crowns.

Dr. Fahad’s talents extend beyond dentistry as he is also a very able cook as he has trained in one of the world’s best Michelin starred kitchens prior to his dental career. His different life experiences enable him to be approachable, easy to talk to and ideal at guiding patients through their various treatments.

Dr. Ivana Matkovic

Dr. Ivana Matkovic is an expert in the field of implantology and the founder of Bloom Dental & Aesthetic Clinic. She obtained her license in the field of oral surgery and implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, which is one of the most prestigious institutions of this type in England, founded in 1800.

She specialized in the “All on 4” method (implant placement and restoration) at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, with Professor Malo, the original creator of the method. Dr. Ivana Matkovic has achieved great success in the field of prosthetics and aesthetic dentistry. She is licensed by the American company Invisalign, the most prestigious company globally for the production of transparent prostheses.

Thousands of satisfied patients from eight years of working in the United Kingdom testify to her work. Through her work in private surgeries, she has dealt with and installed over a thousand dental implants.

Larsa Shino

Larsa is our highly experienced dental hygienist from Denmark. After graduating, she worked as a dental hygiene teacher at the University in Aarhus, Denmark teaching hygiene students theory and practice. Larsa has worked in several private specialist London practices since moving to the UK.

‍ As a professional dental hygienist, Larsa provides exceptional care by preventing and treating gum disease, cleaning and polishing teeth and instructing patients in good oral hygiene routines. Larsa also provides professional teeth whitening treatments. Larsa speaks fluent English, Danish and Assyrian.

Dayna James

Treatment Coordinator
Dayna qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2012. After working in both NHS and private dental practices as a Dental Nurse, she gradually moved towards front desk and administrative work, but she has remained firmly attached to the dentistry field. Following the completion of her marketing qualification in 2016, Dayna joined Lotus Dental and Aesthetics Clinic as our front-of-house receptionist and administrative support. Her dental experience and knowledge allow her to liaise between patients and clinicians to ensure that our practice and patient appointments run smoothly.

Shahla

Shahla is a fully qualified Dental Nurse and has been working in dentistry for over 5 years. She has experience assisting a variety of dental procedures including general, cosmetic and surgical treatments. Having worked alongside Dr Clozza as his primary dental nurse since 2017, Shahla has developed an extensive knowledge of advanced surgical and implant procedures. She joined us in 2020 and quickly became an asset to our team due to her caring, attentive nature towards patients and infectious smile. Shahla also speaks fluent Persian and Turkish as well a English.

Working alongside our principal dentist Dr Frankl, her careful attention to detail and caring approach make her an essential part of our team.
