How veneers are placed
First, your Lotus Dental Clinic dentist will evaluate your smile and help you determine the best colour, shape and size for your veneers.
Next, you will have a thin layer of enamel shaved away from the fronts of the teeth that will be getting veneers. This is necessary to help the veneers lay flush with your teeth. You will receive local anaesthesia for this part.
Then, your dentist will take a digital scan of your teeth to capture a virtual mould. This mould will be used to design the fit of your veneers.
In the meantime, you will wear temporary veneers to protect your teeth.
Finally, your permanent veneers will be bonded to your teeth at a later appointment.

Composite dental veneers

What are Lumineers®?
Lumineers® is a name brand of ultra-slim no-prep dental veneers. These veneers do not require your teeth to be trimmed down as much as they are for traditional veneers. Lumineers® are customised to your smile and then bonded directly over the top of your existing tooth enamel.
Dental bonding
Dental bonding is a simple treatment, but it can make a very big difference in your smileIn a dental bonding appointment, your dentist will lightly roughen the enamel on your tooth with a conditioning liquid. Then he or she will apply a layer of tooth-coloured composite resin directly to your tooth and shape it to fill out the shape of your tooth. The restoration is cured with a light to set the bond, and then it is polished to help it blend seamlessly with the rest of your tooth.
Bonding is excellent for filling in holes and rough areas on teeth, reshaping teeth or making chipped teeth look whole.
