How Much Does Invisalign Cost in London? Our Real Prices

If you are thinking about straightening your teeth with Invisalign, the price is probably the first thing you want to know. Many clinics will only tell you once you are sitting in the chair. We would rather you knew before you come in, so here are our actual fees for Invisalign and other clear aligners, what makes one case cost more than another, and how to find out your own price.

Why is there a range of prices?
The price of aligner treatment depends mainly on how much your teeth need to move, which decides how many aligners you need and how long treatment takes.
- Single arch or both arches. If only your top or bottom teeth need straightening, treatment costs less than treating both.
- Simple or full case. A little crowding or a small gap at the front is a simple case. Bite problems, larger gaps or significant crowding need more aligners and more appointments.
- Invisalign Lite or Comprehensive. Invisalign Lite has a limited number of aligners and suits milder cases. Invisalign Comprehensive has no limit on the number of aligners, so it can handle more complex movements and refinements.
- Complex cases and teenagers. These can need extra attachments, more refinements and closer monitoring.
We can only tell which of these fits you after we have examined your teeth and taken a digital scan. That is why every patient gets a written plan and a fixed quote before starting, so you know the total cost up front.
Invisalign or another clear aligner: what is the difference?
You will notice that our general clear aligner prices start lower than Invisalign. Both work in the same way: a series of clear, removable trays that gradually move your teeth. The main differences are the planning software, the materials and the range of cases each system is designed to handle. Invisalign is the best known brand and has a long track record with more complex cases. For simple cases, another aligner system can give an excellent result for less.

What about the Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner is a removable brace that moves the front teeth only, often in a matter of weeks rather than months. It is a good choice for someone who is bothered by one or two crooked front teeth and does not need their bite changing. It is not a substitute for full aligner treatment when the back teeth or the bite need correcting.
What about cheap online aligners?
Home aligner companies advertise lower prices, and we understand why they appeal. The concern is that teeth should only be moved once a dentist has checked that the gums, bone and existing fillings or crowns are healthy. Moving teeth that have untreated gum disease or decay can make things worse. With in-clinic treatment, a dentist examines you first, takes X-rays where needed, checks your progress in person and can step in if a tooth is not moving as planned.
Costs people forget to ask about
- Retainers. Teeth tend to drift back after any straightening, so you will need to wear retainers afterwards, usually at night, for the long term. Ask what retainers are included in your quote and what replacements cost.
- Refinements. Sometimes a few extra aligners are needed at the end to perfect the result. Ask whether these are included.
- Treatment before straightening. If you need fillings, a hygiene visit or gum treatment first, those are priced separately.
- Whitening or bonding afterwards. Many patients like to finish with teeth whitening (£375) or composite bonding (£395 per tooth) to tidy up worn or chipped edges once the teeth are straight. This is optional.
How long does Invisalign take?
Simple cases can take a few months. More complex cases usually take longer, often around a year or more. You need to wear the aligners for most of the day and night, taking them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. The more consistently you wear them, the more likely treatment is to finish on time.
Is it worth it?
Straighter teeth are easier to clean, and many patients tell us the biggest change is simply feeling happy to smile in photographs. Whether it is worth it for you depends on what bothers you about your teeth and your budget. If the main issue is the shape or colour of a few teeth rather than their position, bonding or veneers may be a quicker route. We explain all the options at your consultation.
